Set Up A New Campaign in Perkzilla

Set Up New Campaign

Click on "My Campaigns" then click Add New.  Everything is set to a "default" which is pretty much universal to make it quick and easy for you.

Campaign

  1. Choose a name for this campaign - so you can identify it in your dashboard
  2. Choose which set of emails you would like to use

    There are 6 "sets" of emails you can choose from.  You can familiarize yourself with what is provided in the EMAILS tab which we will cover later in this article

  3. Choose your Site Title - it will be used in your emails, etc!
  4. Choose the root domain were you will be putting this form
  5. Click NEXT to move on to the Form Settings
  6. If you have to leave the page and want to continue later - be sure to save & update
  7. If you need any assistance, click the beacon and search the FAQ or contact support

Form Settings

The default settings have been carefully chosen to be acceptable in a large majority of cases, however everything is customizable too!

  1. Email label and placeholder text
  2. Name: Toggle YES/NO,  label and place holder text
  3. Last Name: Toggle YES/NO,  label and place holder text

    Note: For Email, Name, Last Name, you can toggle NO if you don't want either the label or place holder text
  4. Button Text
  5. If you want to track your opt ins, show a "Thank you" page,  toggle YES, put the URL of your "thank you " page here. You must put the Perkzilla widget on that page too.

  6. For DEVELOPERS only. See Developer instructions from the main menu
  7. Your opt-ins are stored in PerkZilla but if you wish to also collect them in your own autoresponder you can do so by selecting YES and choosing the Autoresponder from those you already set up in the previous step
  8. Form alignment can be left, right or center
  9. The form can be "stacked" or horizontal
  10. Toggle whether you want your subscribers to double (Yes) or single (No) opt in to the autoresponder
  11. Toggle YES?NO whether you want Perkzilla to send the welcome email. ("No" means your autoresponder will be configured to do that)
  12. Toggle Yes/No as (11) but for API
  13. Autoscrolling - If set to YES, when your page is displayed, it will automatically scroll so the form is displayed
  14. You can completely customize the colors used on the form to match your branding


    When choosing your color, click on the colored block you wish to change.
    i.   Select a "standard" color if you want
    ii.  Choose your transparency - bottom is 0% (clear), top is 100% (full color)
    iii. Enter either the Hex or rgba for a specific color
    iv. Click outside the box to "accept" your color choice

  15. When you're all set - click NEXT


On Screen Messages

These are the messages that will be shown to your prospects/sign-ups as they access your campaign

  1. There are 4 Messages your viewers will see - we have provided very acceptable defaults but you can customize them to suit your own business and voice.
  2. Full WYSIWYG editor or you can view/code in HTML should you prefer
  3. You can view work in full-page mode if you find that easier
  4. These are "shortcodes" that will be replaced by the relevant values for your account and this campaign

    Clicking on the one you want will insert it at the cursor in your message

  5. Click NEXT when you are ready

Emails

These are the emails that will be sent to your prospects/sign-ups.

  1. There are 2 emails that will be sent to your sign-ups - we have provided very acceptable defaults but you can customize them to suit your own business and voice.

  3. You can view work in full-page mode if you find that easier
  4. These are "shortcodes" that will be replaced by the relevant values for your account and this campaign

  5. Click NEXT when you're all done


Save & Update

Your campaign has been created!  This is the code you need to copy and paste on the page where you want your campaign to be seen. 

Your campaign will now show in your Campaign Management dashboard - from where you can access the statistics, etc for this campaign and also clone, delete or edit it.
